Here’s Why ‘Never Have I Ever’ Won’t Be Getting a Season 5 After All
All good things must come to an end and that includes some of our favorite TV shows. Sadly, Never Have I Ever is joining the long list of series that is airing their finale this year, but luckily this isn't coming as a big surprise to fans. But it definitely doesn't make the news any less sad, especially because we’re not ready to say goodbye to Devi and her friends just yet.
Now that the fourth season is out, you might be wondering just why this will be the last we see these characters. Unlike a lot of other shows who have been canceled this year, this was actually planned ahead of time.
Here's everything we know about Never Have I Ever not getting a fifth season.

Sadly, there won't be more episodes after the season four finale. But the good news is that we’re actually getting a proper ending since this was all pre-planned.
Cocreators Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher announced their plans to end the show after season 4 back in May 2022, so we’ve had some time to mentally prepare ourselves to see this show end. But in a good twist, the cast and crew found out about it before season 3's launch, proving that it was a big hit for Netflix and that they clearly wanted to give fans the big ending that they deserved.
Considering the fact that we’re living in the age of reboots, nothing is completely impossible. Especially when you remember that the cast is still pretty young and they seemed to have the best time on this set.
That being said, anything is possible! While we totally love seeing Devi's high school journey, we’ll always be crossing our fingers for something more. Maybe a spin-off following her in college? Or a TV movie about her big wedding? Netflix, take notes, ’cause I will literally watch anything with this cast again.
